Eyes That Can't See - Let There Be Light

rachael170marvin170I Have Eyes, But I Cannot See

As you will see, our children here, may not only have traumas and difficulties with their adjustments from crisis to safety; they also may have issues to overcome such as not knowing what it is like to see.

When a child is placed in the home, the initial information is vague and the child does not communicate well either from fear or lack of understanding.  This can take several months to find out all the areas that we at Seeds in His Garden could assist them to a bright future.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

beansSIHG Seeks To Be Full Of Beans

Having twenty acres of land affords SIHG an array of possibilities for development.  Certainy building on the land is part of developing the land. However, growing on the land is even more important and crucial to the home and immediately.

These beans can save the home $1000.00 over a three month period.  patandbeansBeans are a staple food and provide the protein for the children as part of the meals. This crop can be repeated and grows well on the land.  We found out about the savings on planting the beans in just three quarters of an acre and harvesting one crop.  The efforts were there the production and value to the home was there, but something was missing.  Time efficient methods for greater production in shorter time. The manual labor of working the soil over several months, and then finally preparing the furrows was sufficient time to have had another crop.  There was just no other means other than manually with three and sometimes four men to dig through the hard soil over several months. Our final step was the planting and maintaining the growth of the beans and ensuring the health of the plants and eventually harvesting took just a few weeks.

Receive A Smile by Giving One Away

dentaledSeeds Kids Learning Teeth Help Us To Eat

We often assume that if someone is not smiling they are unhappy or upset. What if it is just that they are so self-conscious about the way their teeth look they are fearful to open up with a smile? I can assure you that by the time they have reached age ten, a child is mindful of how others view them and their looks.  By the time they are teenagers, they are very self conscious about their looks.

We have a boy who came very young into the home, and he smiled. Each year we noticed the smile begin to get

Simple Basics of Life

What we call needs are quite simple . . .

We always need food, clothing, shelter, education, and a feeling of safety. That is any human beings right to have.  However, some things we should not be neglectful in providing to be effective in working with children. To achieve goals within the mission as well as develop the tools for children to realize their dreams, there are some essentials.  Quality care has a price anywhere.  We keep our standards high for the best results for the future.

Throughout the history of Seeds in His Garden, it has never been a goal to provide band-aid care to children in need.  Our goal has been to:

Kenya Reminders

Kenyan Coffee

Be sure that you have supported our exports here in Kenya.  Coffee and Tea are large exports for Kenya.  The coffee you drink can keep a family from going hungry.  Many people count on the jobs available on tea and coffee farms.

Web Site News!

For several months there has been anticipation about a web site. It is important to note that all the efforts on this site have been for the sole purpose of engaging others to support the work with the children in Kenya. All the credit for the efforts made to get the site available for those interested go to ALL the children of Seeds in His Garden. They are the ones that sacrificed the most as others made attempts for something that they would be proud of. Children are the key to the future of Kenya. God Bless them!
