What Do You Want For Your Life
We all want a good life. It is doubtful that someone actally wakes up from sleep and shares with anyone that they want to have a bad life. But things do happen! And not everything feels good and/or leaves good results each day. We can and usually do have a reaction to events that happen, whether it is good or bad. But what do we do when it is not positive and discouraging? Do we want to give up? Do you have despair? Maybe you have resentment and anger?
Seeds in His Garden seeks to inform, encourage and support positive actions forward. Let us know what you are up to in your life. Are you making a difference?
Welcome to the SIHG Party
The children are always available for a good welcome for volunteers and visitors with the SIHG dance party. This is certainly something that these kids can do, dance your socks off. If you are open to all kinds of music and moves, this is the place to get your feet stomping on solid ground after a long plane ride. All the children can dance. but the challenge is if you can keep up.
The children are happy to entertain, but it is expected that the volunteers show what they bring to keep the flow of laughter and fun. Sam, the volunteer in the hat plays a mean guitar like John Mayer. It was great to listen to him and watch as he mesmerized us with his fingers. Unfortunately, Sam was trying his hand at break-dancing, and literally broke his hand the first night.
So we advise everyone to take out insurance before any competitions with the SIHG dance troop.
Gabby Has the Smile at SIHG
Gabby is a young college student from Santa Barbara, California. When Gabby arrived at Seeds in His Garden she immediately felt at home and we all knew she had a place with the family. Gabby brought with her a warm smile, compassion trustworthiness, a heart for service and a playful nature. Her laughter is delightful and the twinkle in her eye opens everyone up to her gentle spirit.
She offered herself to the children in many different ways. She cooked, cleaned, taught, played outdoor and indoor games; she cared for the toddlers to relieve staff, organized areas, and brought cheer to every situation. There were many projects that she engaged in, but no matter what was needed, or however small a task to be done, she was right there.
