Seeds in His Garden operates on the generous donations of many individuals, churches, schools, funding agencies and corporations. We seek out new ideas and projects to do what we can to bring about self-sustaining projects, while maintaining the quality of the mission. However, at this time the home cannot do it alone. We need help! To initiate some projects, we need capital, start up tools, or livestock. We do our best to develop ways and means to acquire our needs to start them and move forward. However, we still need to pay the bills, feed the children, cloth, educate and provide health care. All this is part of our general operation. We ask that you help us with whatever little you might have to support the general operations of the home, and when possible the start-up projects that will help us long term.
We are always seeking volunteers to share their experiences, skills, and talents within the home and Kenya. If you are young or old, Seeds in His Garden welcomes you to this unique family setting. This home depends on skills, talents and extra hands for the success of the children and the mission. The best way to share what you know is to share in person. Share on opportunities as well as create opportunities for each child to see what is possible as long as they participate. Create a difference in the life a child through hands on activities, or special projects that benefit them. It is truly experiential, it is eye-opening, entertaining, but most of all it makes a difference.
We are always seeking those who have strong organizational skills to lead or assist in Fund-raising events. These events are critical to the overall mission. They often create an interest to support the home in other ways. These events can often carry the home financially in areas of need a year or a couple of months. They can be elaborate, or simple in their design. They can be specific events for needs such as education, transportation, medical needs or special projects. To organize one of these events require detailed planning, communication skills, and time. Every activity needs resources of skills, talents from people. The talents needed to participate in fund-raising events can be anything from publicity, speaking, music, art, developing venues, etc. and all are important to a successful outcome.
Kenyan Coffee
Be sure that you have supported our exports here in Kenya. Coffee and Tea are large exports for Kenya. The coffee you drink can keep a family from going hungry. Many people count on the jobs available on tea and coffee farms.
Web Site News!
For several months there has been anticipation about a web site. It is important to note that all the efforts on this site have been for the sole purpose of engaging others to support the work with the children in Kenya. All the credit for the efforts made to get the site available for those interested go to ALL the children of Seeds in His Garden. They are the ones that sacrificed the most as others made attempts for something that they would be proud of. Children are the key to the future of Kenya. God Bless them!
